Home barbeque tips: Get the Grill Ready for Summer!

The summer breeze is in the air once again and when one thinks of summer, the second thing that would come into that person's mind is barbeque! Indeed, summer is the perfect season for barbeque. However, before you start firing up for the first wonderful wieners or meaty burgers, there are some things that you should remember. Your outdoor grill or cooker has for sure undergone tough winter conditions and this may require you to do some cleaning before setting your cooker to sizzle.

Dirt, insects and other unwanted organisms may have rested themselves on your burners. Aside from these unwanted organisms, the wear and tear of hoses and tanks may pose danger for you and your family if not properly handled. To avoid undesirable circumstances, below are some of the home barbeque tips you may opt to follow before getting started with your sizzling barbeque for summer.

Home Barbeque Tip 1: Clean your Cookers/Burners/Grill

Those tricky little insects often times like making homes out of your dormant grills and these insects are capable of building flammable and obstructive homes. Before getting started with your barbeque, be sure to inspect the tubes of your burners for blockages caused by grease, insects, dirt and even rust build up. Try using a piece of wire or pipe cleaner to do this job. Replace or if cleaning is still possible, clean the blocked parts or hire a professional technician to do the repairs.

Home Barbeque Tip 2: Clear the Area

Allow a space for your cooking and of course for the fire. Don't put your burners near fences, bushes, poles or anything of these kinds because flames easily get bigger for outdoor grilling and you don't want your barbeque time to be a fire time. Moreover, never ever use your burners on the garage, whether it is raining or not because an enclosed space especially when filled with gas equipment is never a good place for open flame.

Home Barbeque Tip 3: Check if your Barbeque Hoses have Leaks

The best way to check for leaks is to use soap and water. You will know if the hoses have leaking gas when the bubbles start moving.

Now that you have the top 3 home barbeque tips, you are certain that you are all set for that summer barbeque sizzle you've been waiting for. The next thing you should do? Prepare a perfect marinade that will make your barbeque sumptuous!

Here's what our members are saying ...

"My wife recently gave me a couple of The Grilling Coach's DVDs - SOUTHERN, SMOKED, GLAZED HAM on the GRILL and REAL SOUTHERN BARBEQUE.  All the recipes are, in a word, outstanding!  The step-by-step instructions are skillfully explained at a pace that's easy to follow and understand.  I've been smoke cooking and making my own sausage for almost 40 years; and, I know my way around the kitchen.  Believe me when I tell you - you'll love these DVDs."
