MEDITERRANEAN BURGERS
Ingredients: Yogurt sauce Directions: Prepare yogurt sauce. Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water. Combine ground beef, wine, oregano, cumin, salt, red pepper and black pepper in medium bowl; mix lightly. Divide mixture into eight equal portions; form each portion into an oval shape, each about 4-5 inches long. Cover; chill 30 minutes. Preheat grill. Insert skewers lengthwise through centers of ovals, placing 2 on each skewer. Grill about 8-10 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once. Fill pita bread with lettuce, meat and chopped tomatoes. Serve with yogurt sauce. YOGURT SAUCE: 2 cups plain yogurt Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Cover; chill up to 4 hours before serving. |
